STOTT Pilates Instructor

Our STOTT PILATES Instructor will report to the Studio Manager and will be responsible for effectively motivating and leading our clients by creating a comfortable and inspiring environment.

While leading a variety of health and wellness initiatives, the STOTT PILATES Instructor position will be responsible for:

  • Designating, prescribing and implementing individualized exercise programs for individuals, group classes, and physiotherapy clients

  • Follow up with clients to book them in for their appointments

  • Collaborate with the physiotherapist about our clients in the therapeutic exercise physiotherapy program to create a personalized plan.

  • Solutions-minded, keeps an open line of communication with Zee Pilates Studio team members addressing questions, concerns, comments, and feedback that arise to preserve the values and membership integrity/experience.

  • Participate with the Studio Zee Pilates team with innovation and creativity to aid with team marketing, community, charitable events, and team fun days

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of programs, products, and services, as well as promote them to our clients

Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working as a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor in the health and wellness industry

  • STOTT PILATES Mat & Reformer Certification (Cadillac, Chair & Barrels training a bonus)

  • CPR Training

  • Barre Training/Certification is an asset

  • Experience working with health professionals such as Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, RMTs, Pilates instructors etc.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Mindbody booking systems

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic, hardworking, professional physiotherapist to provide orthopedic expertise to our current clientele at Studio Zee Pilates. As a vital member of the Studio Zee Pilates team, the physiotherapist assesses patients, develops and implements evidence-based and goal-centred treatment and provides ongoing evaluation of treatment approach to ensure the highest level of care. The physiotherapist collaborates with the pilates team in providing a safe and effective therapeutic exercise program implemented by the pilates team and monitored and progressed by the physiotherapist.

The physiotherapist practices per the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario Standards of Practice and Studio Zee Pilates Policies and Procedures. The physiotherapist utilizes a patient-centred care approach and incorporates the best available evidence into practice. The physiotherapist participates in and provides education to pilates instructors in team pilates instructor/physio meetings. The physiotherapist actively participates in continuing professional development opportunities, education, professional practice and program initiatives that support patient care in a pilates environment.

  • Graduate of an approved University Graduate level Physiotherapy program (BScPT, MSc. PT) or equivalent

  • Current Registration and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario

  • Well-developed physiotherapy clinical reasoning skills

  • Oversees the therapeutic exercise pilates program

  • Demonstrates excellent clinical, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well with different personality types.

  • Demonstrates ability to work independently while collaborating within a pilates team

  • Participates in continuing education in order to upgrade skills and keep abreast of new developments within the pilates approach

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a pilates studio setting

  • Computer skills (i.e. ability to work in MS Word and Outlook);

  • CPR or Equivalent

  • Availability of minimum 10-20 hours/week, $40,000-$60,000/year.
