Cancellation & Studio Closure Policy
At Studio Zee Pilates, we understand that life happens and sometimes plans need to change! We simply ask that you provide as much notice as possible when cancelling a class or appointment.
As a small studio offering personalized instruction and limited class sizes, our cancellation policies help us respect our instructors' time and give other clients the opportunity to book available spaces.
Group Classes – Mat, Barre & Reformer
12 Hours' Notice Required
Please cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled class.
Cancellations made within 12 hours of class will result in the loss of that class credit.
No-shows will also result in the loss of the class credit.
Classes can be cancelled online through your Mindbody account or the Studio Zee app.
Private Pilates, Physiotherapy & Therapeutic Appointments
24 Hours' Notice Required
We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment, including:
Private, duet and trio Pilates sessions
Physiotherapy appointments
Physio-Pilates therapeutic exercise sessions
Osteopathy appointments
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are subject to the full appointment fee or deduction of a session from your package.
Appointments can be cancelled online or by contacting the studio.
Zee Unlimited Memberships
12 Hours' Notice Required for Reformer Classes
To help ensure our limited Reformer spaces are available to everyone, Zee Unlimited members are subject to a $15 fee for Reformer classes cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled start time or missed without notice (no-shows).
The $15 fee applies to Reformer classes only.
There is no additional late cancellation fee for Mat or Barre classes.
Zee Balance members are not subject to the $15 fee. Late cancellations and no-shows will count toward their monthly class allowance.
Fees are processed separately using the payment method on file.
Illness & Unexpected Circumstances
We understand that illness and unexpected emergencies happen. If you are feeling unwell, we encourage you to stay home and rest rather than attend the studio.
Our regular cancellation policies still apply. However, we recognize that exceptional circumstances arise and may consider exceptions at management's discretion.
We appreciate your understanding that last-minute cancellations affect our instructors and other clients who may have been hoping to book that time.
Inclement Weather & Studio Closures
Your safety is important to us! During inclement weather, Studio Zee Pilates follows McMaster University's official weather-related closure announcements to guide our studio operations.
When the Studio Remains Open
If McMaster University remains open, Studio Zee will operate as scheduled, and our regular cancellation policies apply:
12 hours' notice for group classes
24 hours' notice for private and therapeutic appointments
We understand that everyone has different comfort levels when travelling in winter weather. If you choose not to attend due to weather conditions while the studio remains open, our regular cancellation policy will apply.
Exceptions may be considered for clients with accessibility or mobility challenges at management's discretion.
When the Studio Closes
If McMaster University officially closes due to inclement weather, Studio Zee will also close.
All affected classes and appointments will be cancelled.
Class credits and prepaid appointment sessions will be returned to client accounts.
Clients will be notified as promptly as possible through email, text (where available), or social media.
If a weather-related closure is announced partway through the day, classes and appointments already completed will remain unaffected. Remaining sessions scheduled during the closure period will be cancelled without penalty.
We encourage clients to check their email and our social media channels during severe weather for the latest studio updates.
Studio-Initiated Cancellations
Occasionally, we may need to cancel a class or appointment due to low enrolment, instructor availability or unforeseen circumstances.
If Studio Zee cancels your class or appointment, your credit will be returned to your account or an appropriate alternative will be arranged.
